A FESTIVAL LIKE NO OTHER
What it’s all about
Music, arts, & community, all based around the humble ukulele. We bring the best ukulele talent from across the world to the town of Huddersfield for a weekend of joy, performance, workshops, collaboration, laughter, music, and to celebrate the power of this understated four-stringed instrument.
THE ARTISTS
The world’s best performers
From Hawaiian Masters to quintessentially British dandies, bluegrass maestros to folk songstresses, GNUF has an international and varied selection of artists every year.
In the past we’ve had performances from Jake Shimabukuro, Craig Chee & Sarah Maisel, Danielle Ate The Sandwich, Mr. B The Gentleman Rhymer, The Hot Potato Syncopators, Victoria Vox, Andy Eastwood, The Jashgawronsky Brothers, Hope & Social, and many more.

Our stages
With stages across the town, Huddersfield becomes filled with music. Most of the action happens at the Lawrence Batley Theatre with the Main Stage, the Cellar Stage, Mim’s Courtyard Sideshow, Tricity Vogue’s Late Night Cabaret, but we also have music at local venues such as The Parish, The Head Of Steam, Huddersfield Town Hall, and more every year!
